Our team of trainers have put together a curriculum for puppies and adult dogs. You can learn more about our training goals here. To achieve everything listed in our curriculum, we recommend send your puppy or dog regularly 2-3x/week. We strongly discourage booking your dog for 2 consecutive days in row and we recommend giving your dog a day of rest between school days.

Not every dog is built for a daycare environment! In fact, there’s a relatively small percentage of dogs that are. This is why we started Wags & Woofs Academy to do daycare differently. We are not a play all day facility. Our dogs have structure, routine, and supervised play groups to ensure they have a day best suited for their biological needs. We will clearly communicate with owners what behaviors we are seeing and if your dog is the right fit for our programs. We may direct you to certain add-on activities if your dog could be a good fit with a little extra care. We also offer a variety of in-home and out in public offerings for dogs who aren’t a good fit for our Day School Program.
-
Your dog does not need to be spayed or neutered to attend our programs. Intact males and females over 6 months old are placed in separate groups and do not have contact with each other. We are unable to take females in heat and may direct you to our in-home services instead.
-
Our team is staffed by experienced professional dog trainers who are experts in dog behavior and body language. This not only helps your dog along their training journey, but is also very important for the safety and wellbeing of your pup!
-
We take the health of your dog very seriously. With an owner who was formerly in the veterinary field, we follow industry standard cleaning protocols and use veterinary grade disinfectant. Anything that comes in contact with dogs, from floors to toys to crates, is disinfected after use. We deep clean the entire facility nightly.

We recommend sending your dog with treats, your dogs food (even if they don’t normally eat lunch), and a stuffed kong or other edible chew. We have a fridge and freezer available if your dog has fresh food or treats. If your dog has food sensitivities, they will not receive food provided by us without parental permission. We can provide several chew, toy, and puzzle options via our add-on services! Please also bring a leash (no flexi leads please!) and a well fitted collar or harness. If your dog is nervous or tries to slip our of their gear, please send your dog with a martingale collar attached to a secure harness with a backup clip. If you’re unsure what gear is best for your individual dog, please ask us for a recommendation!

We take up to 5 puppies and 5 adult dogs into our Preschool and Day School programs. Play groups range from two to five dogs. Play group size is always dictated by size, age, temperament, play style, and staff to dog ratios.
-

A typical day in the life at Wags & Woofs Academy includes time in play groups (when appropriate), training sessions, and structured rest times. We have a variety of physically and mentally stimulating add-on options if you’d like specific activities for your dog! Learn more about a typical day here.
-
Many of the dogs that come to our program get nervous, vocal or over excited when new people come to the door so we don’t typically offer tours. However, we’d be happy to give you a call to discuss the program further and answer any questions that you might have! See our day in the life video for a virtual tour.
-
We let your pup call the shots here! The majority of our dogs are crated for nap times, though some prefer to sleep in an exercise pen or in their own private play area. Please note, if your dog goes on an outing with us, they will ride in a crash tested kennel while in the car.

There is no one size fits all recommendation for attendance. However, we strongly believe that dogs will benefit most from our program attending 2-3x/week. Ideally they will attend for a day and take the next day “off,” so they can rest and recover.
